in
Japan the colour of death
|
White neutralises
all colours and seems to be neutral itself, therefore it is considered
as a symbol for the innocence and - in some cultures - for death, for
the door to salvation.
Since eternal times
white is the colour of the Gods and from the antiquity it was the dominating
colour for the clothing of the priests. For many people white means the
perfect, the ideal, the good.
But white is not white:
alabaster-white, blossom-white, creme-white, chalk-white, opal-white,
snow-white, ultra-white, wool-white.
